Im sure you must be thinking that this sounds a whole lot like the LCD Tv
So whats the difference and whats it all about.
Led tvs use LED backlight instead of a fluorescent ones like the lcd tv does. This helps alleviate the problem of poor color fidelity that LCD's suffer from.
LED tvs have more mega dynamic contrast ratio - yup thats right a better contrast ratio
When we all started to think there could be no thinner tv set then lcd and plasmas then the LED tvs came out to suprise us - they are about 1.2 inches thin. Beat almost any lcd tv size
LED tvs consume 40% less power then LCD Tvs - so your going to save money on your bills :-)
LED is a type of LCD. "Regular" LCDs use CCFL (flourescent) light source as their backlight. LED LCDs uses LED light source as their backlight. This provides the LED LCD set better blacks, colors, contrast, and more even image across the panel. So in theory it is definitely a better picture.
As we are all aware LED tvs are new so who do we buy off to make sure we get top quality and value for money.
Well there is no led better then the samsung led tv. They are very competativly priced and are leading the way for all other manufacturers to follow.
So do yourself a favour- if your going to buy a led tv then buy the samsung Led tv
